Air Macau Introduces Freighter Airbus A300B4F 2004/04/15
Air Macau inaugurated its new freighter Airbus A300B4F on 15 April 2004.

The wet leased Airbus A300B4F became the largest freighter of Air Macau since its commercial inauguration, with a maximum capacity of 40 tons, accommodating 28 pallets or 24 pallets plus 8 containers.

The inaugural freighter had a full load of cargo, out of which 10 tons are garment and electrical appliances to be uploaded in Macau and transported to Taipei. This inaugural operation established a sound foundation for Air Macau in contributing to the development of local logistic industry.

From 15 April 2004 onwards, the new freighter will commence its “one plane across the strait” mission between Shanghai – Macau – Taipei. Aside from this second air cargo route in providing the one plane across the strait service, Air Macau opened up its first route between Shenzhen – Macau – Taipei on 08 October 2002.

Presently, the new freighter operates 7 flights every Tuesday to Sunday. Flight schedule is as shown below:

With the introduction of the large-scale freighter and being the National carrier of Macau, Air Macau contributes not only to the transportation of cargo across the strait, but also to the development of Macau economy, particularly in logistic industry.
